uf6 Towers of London Press Release, 13th October 2006

“Big Personalities and even bigger Hair…”

Bravo is set to launch its biggest production to date on October 26th. The 10 x 30 minutes documentary series will follow five piece punk rock band Towers of London as they embark on their journey to rock stardom. Kicking off with the Towers recording their first single, the cameras then follow the band on the road, as they set off on a UK and US tour in the run up to their looming album launch.

Produced by Vashca and commissioned by Bravo, creative, art direction and compositing were handled by Dean Barnett, Creative Director of uf6. Says Dean; “The objective was to create a graphics package that would illuminate the personalities of the individual band members. It was important that the tone of the graphics impersonated the anarchic qualities of the band. Many of the instruments were shot as stills on a Canon Eos 354d and mixed with treated footage from the body of the programme. All composting was achieved in After Effects. What we’ve ended up with is a toxic visual cocktail with pierced tongue firmly pinned to inside cheek

With nearly ten years experience uf6 are London's untold visual antidote; at home in Shoreditch, with arms open wide to their international clients in Tokyo, NY, LA, and Europe. A compact and impact design consultancy, uf6 provide creative, art direction, design and production for film, TV, new media and print. For broadcast, previous projects include re-branding of the Hits Channel and Kerrang for EMAP Performance TV; programme branding and motion graphics for T4’s Hit 40 UK and Five’s ‘Robbie William’s Secrets’; and Five’s latest reality TV offering Make me a Supermodel (TX date 15th October). The impact of their graphics package for Bravos' ‘I Predict A Riot’ was pronounced as the new visual standard for all prospective Flextech productions.

Director of Programming for Bravo, Trouble, Challenge & Player, Jonathan Webb says; “I'm incredibly excited about Towers of London - its one of the funniest observational documentaries I’ve seen in ages. The boys are hilarious, big personalities and even bigger hair - they are going to be huge in the charts and big on the box.”
