uf6 Make me a Supermodel Press Release, 10th October 2006
It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it…
Five’s successful entertainment series, Make Me a Supermodel, is returning to the screens on 15th October at 20.00. The series has been extended to a six week run and the new format allows viewers to vote for their favourite aspiring boy and girl models. Additional coverage will be aired on Five’s new digital channel, Five Live.
The production company behind the series is Tiger Aspect; art direction, design and production of titles and graphics package by uf6. uf6 Creative Director, Dean Barnett explains; “The challenge was creating a digital environment and symbolism to reflect the glamour of the modelling industry, that would be home to 12 contestants who had no previous experience of modelling.
“The sequence became one long shot along an electric catwalk in a 3d space, the camera tracking backwards to reveal the girls and boys. The subjects were shot against green screen on PANASONIC VARI CAM - DVD PRO HD to provide us with the flexibility we needed to position the 6 girls and 6 boys in the digital space. We worked with Director of Photography Mark Emberton to achieve the correct lighting effects; all compositing was achieved in After Effects.”
The end result is seductive, visual candy guaranteed to rustle the autumn leaves!
