UF6 Designs Kasabian’s European Tour Book
London based design agency UF6 have created the Tour Book for UK
indie band Kasabian, working with music marketing company Firebrand
Live & WSco.
Explains UF6 Creative Director Dean Barnett; “The band wanted a Tour
book that was going to be more personal visual journey than there album
campaign, so we decided to deconstruct Kasabian’s visual history.
Playing with memorabilia & backstage images, we created a DIY
landscape, evolving the original photography with scribes and hand
drawn geometrics to reflect the decadence and raw energy of the band.”
A Q&A style interview by Siobhan Grogan provided context for the
typography. The Tour Book also has an insert containing the ‘Empire’
album lyrics; this is the first time the lyrics have been printed
anywhere.
UF6 are London's untold visual antidote; at home in Shoreditch, with
clients in Tokyo, NY, LA, and Europe. A compact, impact design
consultancy, UF6 provide creative, art direction, design and production
for film, TV, new media and print. For broadcast, previous projects
include re-branding of music channels Kiss & Kerrang for EMAP
Performance TV; programme branding and motion graphics for T4’s Hit 40
UK, Five’s ‘Michael Jackson’s Mind’, ‘Robbie William’s Secrets’,
‘Make me a Supermodel’ and Bravo’s ‘Towers of London Documentary’. The
impact of their graphics package for Bravos' ‘I Predict A Riot’ was
pronounced as the new visual standard for all prospective Flextech
productions.
