MURDOCK Valentine's Day Press Release, 8th January 2007
A Badger for the Ladies for Valentine’s Day
A morning-after stubble rash is guaranteed to kill off even the most
romantic Valentine’s Day memories. So it’s time to step up and enter
the land of the wet shave.
We've come a long way since pre-historic man first scraped a seashell
across his face in an attempt to impress his woman – and perhaps we
have even come too far. Today’s high tech shaving products are
great for a quick shave in the morning before running out the door, but
they do often leave the skin burnt and raw.
We think it’s time to get back to the traditional wet shave; badger
brush, soap dish and all. Rather than just a fancy-looking tool,
a badger brush actually plays an essential part in the ultimate shave
experience, by lifting the hair and exfoliating the skin.
If your memory is a little hazy of the shaving lesson given by your Dad
and you’re not quite ready yet to take on the badger and cut-throat
razor blade yourself, stop by the MURDOCK Hoxton store where our
barbers will talk you through the steps.
A new service is available at MURDOCK, which at £45 incorporates a head
massage, facial and traditional wet shave, using select products from
the wonderful DR Harris range. Customers should allow 1 hour and
booking is recommended. Gift certificates are available for the perfect
Valentine’s Day present.
For those unfortunate souls who don’t live near London, the solution is
to be found online. Go to www.murdocklondon.com for a 10-step DIY guide
to wet shaving and visit the online store for all your essentials. It’s
really not that complicated – and once you’ve had a proper wet shave,
the mere sight of a disposable razor and gel-on-the-can will leave you
shaking your head in disbelief!
