MPAEE Press Release, 16th August 2007
My Penis and Everyone Else’s on BBC Three
Film maker Lawrence Barraclough’s follow-up to one of the most watched and talked about documentaries on BBC Three, My Penis and I airs on BBC Three on 3rd September as part of its third ‘Body Image’ season. This film is about penis size, men and why that thing that lives between their legs is such a big deal to them. Now, two years after the original film and after receiving over a thousand emails and messages from men all around the world, Lawrence is back to ask why more men aren’t talking about their penises. He also tries to organise the biggest gathering this country, possibly the world, has ever seen for men to celebrate their penises in all their shapes, sizes and glory!
Made by Firecracker Films and executively produced by Mark Soldinger, the award-winning director behind critically acclaimed documentaries such as Channel 4’s ‘Diana – The Mourning After’ and ‘Chemical Generation’ and Discovery Channel’s ‘Quest for the Cloud People’.
Says Mark, founder and Managing Director of Firecracker Films; “Firecracker Films was delighted when Lawrence approached us to make the follow up to his debut smash film. It was an opportunity for Lawrence to take this taboo subject matter and explore the issues on a far wider scale in an informative, amusing and often toe-curling way. After all, this topic is something inherently ingrained in our culture and therefore something all men should watch.”
